A poll is a way to ask a multiple choice question of other people in the community. When you create a poll, you define the question and the possible answers. You also define whether or not the results of the poll are public. This means that other members can see how each member voted.
How to Create a Poll:
- Select the appropriate forum (such as General Talk or Windows)
- Click Start a New Topic in the upper right hand corner
- Enter the Topic Title and Topic Description (Topic Description is optional)
- Click on Manage Topic Poll
- Enter a Poll Title (optional)
- Select whether or not the poll results should be public (this cannot be changed once poll votes are made)
- Select whether or not users can select multiple answers
- Enter all available choices (do not hit Enter at any point or you will get an error)
- In the Topic Field, enter any information about the poll
