  • QUESTION #1:*

I need help transfering my old files from my previous computer to my new one. In particular, I'm having trouble loading my Favorites and Bookmarks which were backed up.

  • QUESTION #2:*

Also, how do I import my Outlook files (i.e. Contacts, email folders etc.) They have been saved to a .PST file.

  • ANSWER #1:*

I would gather that you are trying to import Favorites into +Internet Explorer+, correct? To do this, follow these steps:

- Open Internet Explorer

- Click on File and then select +Import and Export...+

- Click Next > to proceed through the first screen of the Import/Export Wizard

- On the next screen, make sure Import Favorites is selected and click *Next >*

- On the next screen, make sure the radial button next to Import from a File or Address is selected and click *Browse...*

- Find the location where you saved your Favorites and then click *Open*. That secondary window will close.

- Click on Next > twice

- You have now successfully imported your favorites. Once you click *Finish*, you will get a message that says "Successfully imported favorites"

To Import into Mozilla Firefox is a much simpler process:

- Open Mozilla Firefox

- Click on Bookmarks and then select +Organize Bookmarks...+

- In the secondary window, click File and then select +Import...+

- In the new window, make sure the radial button next to "From File" is selected and then click *Next >*

- Navigate to where the file is located and click *Open*

- The bookmarks will be automatically loaded within Mozilla Firefox

  • ANSWER #2*

To import your Outlook .pst file is relatively the same process:

- Open Outlook

- Click on File and then select +Import and Export...+

- The same Import and Export Wizard will open

- Select Import from another program or file and click *Next >*

- On the next screen, scroll down until you see Personal Folder File (.pst) and click *Next >*

- On the next screen, click Browse... to select the location where your .pst file is located

- Once found, click *Next >*

- On the next screen, you will be asked where you want this .pst file to go. Make sure Personal Folders is highlighted and make sure you put a check next to +Include subfolders+

- Once done, click *Finish*

That's it :D
